 Dates for your Diary

Offers of help to sell cakes, raffle tickets, serve teas and wash up will be much appreciated.
Homemade cakes and raffle prizes would be very welcome.

Will she get the coveted yellow jersey this year?
I, Marigold, am on the prowl with a yellow sponsor form for the Ride + Stride charity Bike Ride on Saturday 8th September, raising money for ancient and crumbling Sussex churches including our own. Please stop me and add your name generously to the list! The Sussex Historic Churches Trust organises this event and half the money raised goes to our church and half to the Trust. At present I am the only rider but if anyone would like to join me on this daring adventure you would be most welcome.  It’s always a great day out, especially if the weather is kind, and a challenge to see how many signed-up churches can be visited.

 Can You Help ?
Please help by being vigilant
Some churches in the Diocese have experienced recent break-ins. If you see anything untoward in or around church,
please report it to the police and notify the churchwardens.

Family Support Work Basket
for donations of non-perishable groceries. Your contributions are gratefully received for distribution around the diocese for those less fortunate than ourselves. They are collected on a regular basis. Pasta, tinned goods, cereals and toiletries are very welcome.

Enables us to claim back from HMRC, the tax paid on ALL of your donations. This gives, at no extra cost to yourself, an additional 25p for every £1 donated and provides an invaluable source of income for our Parish Church. If you are a UK taxpayer paying income tax and/or Capital Gains Tax, please complete a Gift Aid Declaration, available from the Treasurer.
If you use a YELLOW Gift Aid envelope, PLEASE include your name, address and post code.

Parish Giving Scheme
This is another simple and valuable way to give regularly to church funds - please refer to our website for details.

Plastic milk bottle tops
Please continue to save your plastic milk bottle tops and drop them in the bin in church (washed!) They raise funds for the Chestnut Tree Children's Hospice resources. It is worth noting that these tops cannot be recycled in your wheelie bin.
