Will she get the coveted yellow jersey this year?
I, Marigold, am on the prowl with a yellow sponsor form for the Ride + Stride charity Bike Ride on Saturday 8th September, raising money for ancient and crumbling Sussex churches including our own. Please stop me and add your name generously to the list! The Sussex Historic Churches Trust organises this event and half the money raised goes to our church and half to the Trust. At present I am the only rider but if anyone would like to join me on this daring adventure you would be most welcome. It’s always a great day out, especially if the weather is kind, and a challenge to see how many signed-up churches can be visited. Harvest Thanksgiving will be celebrated on Sunday 30th September at 9.30am Please bring any harvest gifts with you or leave in church the day before to help decorate the church. Non-perishable goods will be very welcome and will go to help Family Support Work within the Diocese. |
Can You Help ? |
A Dodgy Ticker - our Victorian church clock is in desperate need of repair and a facelift.
We have launched an appeal to raise £5,367.00 to replace the motor so that we can reactivate the chiming mechanism and also regild the clock face. Please can you help by donating to our fund by either following the links on our website OR leaving a donation with Mrs Claire George, PCC Secretary, at The Street House, The Street, Bolney. If you are a taxpayer and able to Gift Aid your donation this will be an enormous help.
Please help by being vigilant Some churches in the Diocese have experienced recent break-ins. If you see anything untoward in or around church, please report it to the police and notify the churchwardens. Family Support Work Basket - for donations of non-perishable groceries. Your contributions are gratefully received for distribution around the diocese for those less fortunate than ourselves. They are collected on a regular basis. Pasta, tinned goods, cereals and toiletries are very welcome. |
