Kyrie: Rizza - Bread of the bread of life
Sung before and after the Gospel -
Bless the Lord, my soul, and bless God's holy name;
Bless the Lord, my soul, that leads me into life.
|Genesis 15: 1-12, 17-18|
Philippians 3: 17 - 4:1
Luke 13: 31-end
Once again we are very grateful to Fr Derek Humphrey for stepping in at the last minute to preside for us. Our prayers go to Fr Martin and his father as life draws to an end.
Refrain for the Psalm:
Intercessions - Please continue to pray for those who are sick and in need within our families and community especially -Hannah Buhler, Richard Ford, Les and Christina Hamstead, Louise Carter, William and Ann Mill, Geoff Mills, Kerry Parsons, Henry Parsons, Steven Stone, Jackie Slaughter, Lucy Mitchell and John Roach.
There is a comprehensive list in our Prayer Corner at the side of the organ for all those we wish to pray for.
Please add any names to this list to request prayers.
A prayer for our interregnum for us all to use regularly. A vital point that we can all participate in prayer during this time:
Loving God, as we journey together through this period of interregnum,
let us look to the journey of our Patron, St Mary Magdalene, for inspiration:
As she and the other disciples walked alongside Christ, give us joy in each other, as we share responsibility for our church and our community and may the gift of interregnum be a period of deeper love and fellowship.
As she stood at the foot of the Cross give us courage to face our future and embrace the unknown.
As she waited and watched by the Tomb give us patience to wait and wisdom to live and trust in the waiting.
As she witnessed Christ in the stillness of early morning grant that we may witness his presence with us at all times and let us look forward to rejoicing in that presence with our new Vicar. Amen

We are so pleased that Caroline Kemp will be joining us to speak about The Haven.
Caroline is the the manager of The Haven, a small Christian Charity based in Burgess Hill that helps women and couples in crisis pregnancy, who are struggling with pregnancy loss, miscarriage, still birth or post abortion. The Haven also goes into local schools and takes PSHE lessons (Personal Social Health and Economic Education) with years 9 and 10 advising them about services that the Haven offers in Crisis pregnancy situations .
This work is so vital and yet so little is available for women and couples who find themselves in these situations, just when they need to feel care and compassion.

Lilies in memory of a loved one
Easter Day falls on Sunday April 21st and at this time of year we ask if anyone would like to donate a lily in memory of a friend or relative. The lilies are used to decorate the church over the Easter Festival. If you would like to do this, then please put the money in cash (preferably not a cheque) in an envelope with the names of the people to be commemorated and leave at Badgers Cottage, 29 The Street. Please put through the letterbox on the door and not in the mailbox. The lilies cost £3.00 each. Last day for payment is April 8th. A list will be placed in church with all thenames. If you do not want your relative on this list please indicate on the envelope. Contact Emily Hutchings on 01444 881320 if any questions. email@example.com
The wardens and our clergy have made some revisions to the service pattern for the ensuing months of our interregnum. There are hard copies available in church but please check our website for any last minute changes. We ask for your support and patience as we settle into a new routine although there are no major changes.
Please help by being vigilant
Some churches in the Diocese have experienced recent break-ins and metal theft. If you see anything untoward in or around church, please report it to the police and notify the churchwardens.
Plastic milk bottle tops
Please continue to save your plastic milk bottle tops and drop them in the bin in church (washed!) They raise funds for the Chestnut Tree Children's Hospice resources. It is worth noting that these tops cannot be recycled in your wheelie bin.
