Following interviews recently, the Diocese now has a suitable candidate for the incumbency of Cuckfield and Bolney and who will be very welcome and provide hope that our period in vacancy is coming to an end. At this stage we can say no more except to ask for your continuing prayers for our new vicar and your continuing patience as we work with the Diocese over the announcement and the induction.
Fr Martin is currently taking a week's well-earned break.
Year's Mind: Jim Blake, Katie Kendra, Julie Sanders, Margaret Allen and Stanley Pratt.
Intercessions: Please pray for those who are sick and in need within our families and community especially - Hazel Clift, Tom Crawford, Dilys Dunkin, Sandra Gibson, Helen, Michael Hudson, Rose Luce, Annabel Moir, Adrian Morris, Peta Pratt, Paul Riseley, Jenny and Peter Scofield, Hudson Wiggins and all those carers locally who quietly carry out their duties with little support or respite available at this time.
I understand that Hazel is now virtually bedridden and not very communicative so please add her to you prayers.
Our prayers continue for the continuing desperate situation in Ukraine, more than a year on and for those trapped in Sudan; also Afghanistan, Somalia, Yemen, Southern Madagascar and all countries of the world who are suffering as a result of war, famine, drought, persecution, political unrest and continued Coronavirus outbreaks.
Our congratulations to Paul and Dagnay Bond who were married in Oslo recently but now here to celebrate further with a blessing given by Ruth followed by a reception at Pangdean at the weekend.

FSW continue to distribute non-perishable food to known families. Currently gifts are collected from church on the second Wednesday of each month. Please drop your offerings into church as near to that day as possible. We also welcome gift vouchers or financial donations that can be directed at supporting the families most in need and as usual, items can be left in the baskets either in Church or the Eight Bells. For more information check the FSW website or contact Sue.
